The idea behind this project was to study the depleting ground water levels in California and later analyze the factors affecting it using the data fetched from California Department of Water Resources. The first stage involved analyzing the data and using multiple regression to find the significance and contribution of all factors to the ground water levels. Based on the information and some other meaningful insights, a cluster analysis was conducted to look for a probable pattern among the water levels in the whole state. A detailed analysis led to the conclusion that geographical locations and other topological parameters did have an effect and the same results were validated using graphical representations.
